Yucatán hosts international tourism and gastronomy summits

Yucatán is strengthening its international presence through major tourism and culinary events. The Love México 2026 summit, organized by the International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals (IADWP), brought together over 300 professionals from 17 countries across America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. The event aims to establish commercial alliances and promote the state as a premier global destination for weddings.

Simultaneously, the Mérida Gastronomic Institute (IGM) held its Second Gastronomy Congress 2026. The event featured chefs from Mexico and Guatemala sharing expertise on culinary innovation and technological integration in the kitchen. During the congress, the IGM received accreditation as an associate partner of the International Organization of Gastronomy, Hospitality, and Tourism (OIGAHTUR).
