Yucatán issues education certificates to over 400 residents
More than 400 residents in southern Yucatán received certificates for literacy, primary, and secondary education through the Instituto de Educación para los Adultos de Yucatán (Ieaey). The ceremony, held in Tekax, aimed to reduce educational lag for individuals over the age of 15.
Ieaey Director General Gladys Uc Echeverría noted that Yucatán has improved its national standing regarding educational lag, moving from 29th to 16th place. Gerardo Molina Álvarez, representing the Instituto Nacional para la Educación de los Adultos (INEA), stated that Yucatán currently holds first place nationally in meeting its educational goals, doubling its 2025 results.
