‘Yugo ide u Ameriku’ documentary opens nationwide in Serbian cinemas

Filip Grujić and Aleksa Borković’s feature‑length documentary “Yugo ide u Ameriku” premiered at the CPH:DOX festival in Copenhagen and later won the audience award and a special TEEN‑section prize at the Beldocs festival. The film, praised by HBO series creator John Wilson as “a great, fun ride,” follows a group of Serbian millennials travelling across the United States in a classic Yugo.

From 3 September the documentary begins its theatrical run across Serbia, distributed by Art Vista. The release follows regional festival screenings and a regional premiere in Pula, and it will be shown in cinemas throughout the country.
