British rapper Yung Filly convicted of assault, acquitted of rape in Perth

A Western Australian District Court jury found British rapper and social‑media personality Yung Filly, real name Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, guilty of two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm after he bit a 20‑year‑old fan’s neck, cheek and breast during an encounter following his Perth performance. The jury acquitted him of three counts of sexual penetration without consent and could not reach verdicts on three additional rape charges, leaving those counts hung.

The eight‑day trial concluded with the court scheduling a sentencing hearing for the assault convictions on 21 August. Barrientos remains on bail and is required to stay in Western Australia pending further proceedings. During testimony he described the bites as “love bites”, asserting they were consensual.
