Ghanaian and Nigerian officials launch educational support initiatives

Various Members of Parliament and local officials in Ghana and Nigeria are implementing educational support initiatives to assist students transitioning to secondary education.

In Ghana, Ralph Poku Adusei (Bekwai) provided 100 students with mattresses, suitcases, and laptops, while pledging a monthly stipend for a student with a disability. In Zabzugu, Alhaji Alhassan Umar distributed GH¢1,000 to 300 students to ease family financial burdens and urged youth to embrace technology. Dr. Gideon Boako (Tano North) provided over 2,000 graduates with essential materials including chop boxes, school bags, and scientific calculators. Additionally, Geoffrey Kini (Nkwanta South) donated trunks and mattresses to over 300 students to encourage local enrollment despite regional conflicts.

In Nigeria, the Chairman of the Kuje Area Council, Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, reaffirmed commitments to revitalizing public primary education through infrastructure development, such as renovated and new classroom blocks, and the distribution of learning materials to pupils.
