Zacatecas and Tabasco allocate over 86 million pesos to boost police equipment

Governor David Monreal Ávila of Zacatecas handed over uniforms, protective gear and a patrol vehicle to five northern municipalities, funded with 13.88 million pesos from state security and municipal‑strengthening funds. He noted the state's homicide rate has fallen about 90 % since 2021, crediting coordinated police strengthening and new technology.

In Tabasco, Governor Javier May Rodríguez delivered 1,163 vehicles and assorted equipment to 16 municipalities, an investment exceeding 73 million pesos. The gear includes patrol cars, helmets, ballistic vests, radios and tactical lamps, aimed at expanding the operational capacity of municipal security forces under the "Tabasco seguro" initiative.
