Zacatecas Governor highlights security and infrastructure development

Zacatecas Governor David Monreal Ávila has highlighted recent social and economic developments in the state. During a ceremony at the Eleventh Military Zone, the Governor noted that improved security conditions, supported by the Mexican Army, National Guard, and state police, have enabled a high turnout for international and national events. These included a national karate competition, basketball games featuring Mineros de Zacatecas, and an international motorcycle gathering.

Additionally, through the ‘Foros por la Transformación’ held in Sombrerete and the state capital, Monreal emphasized public works and agriculture as the pillars of long-term development. He reported that over 12 billion pesos have been invested in infrastructure between 2021 and 2025, covering areas such as roads, water, education, and health. The Governor stated that the state maintains healthy finances with zero debt and three consecutive years of economic growth, aiming to integrate Zacatecas into national development through mining, tourism, and industrialization.
