Zach Bryan releases new EP and discusses sobriety

Country singer Zach Bryan has released a new eight-song EP titled ‘Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs’ via Warner Records. The project features collaborations with Lana Del Rey on the track ‘Lies’ and the Turnpike Troubadours on ‘Plainsman’. Other tracks include ‘Lodi When’, ‘Robot Killed The Working Man’, ‘Dog Days’, ‘Backwards’, ‘Is The Blue Tangled in You?’, and ‘You’ll Get By’.

In conjunction with the release, Bryan spoke with Matthew McConaughey about his journey to sobriety. He revealed that he previously consumed up to 15 beers a day to cope with severe panic attacks and anxiety, a cycle that led to physical numbness and fears of having a stroke. Following a medical diagnosis of a panic disorder and advice to stop drinking, Bryan has since achieved sobriety. He noted that while he previously relied on alcohol to manage stage fright and songwriting, he wrote and recorded this new EP entirely sober.
