Zach Bryan sobriety and new EP release

Overview

Country music artist Zach Bryan has released a new eight-song EP titled ‘Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs’ via Warner Records. The project includes collaborations with Lana Del Rey and the Turnpike Troubadours.

Alongside the release, Bryan participated in an interview with Matthew McConaughey to discuss his journey toward sobriety. Bryan revealed that he previously consumed up to 15 beers a day to manage severe panic attacks, anxiety, and stage fright, which led to physical numbness and fears of a stroke. Following a medical diagnosis of panic disorder and professional advice, Bryan achieved sobriety and noted that he wrote and recorded the new EP entirely sober. He described a turning point during a solo motorcycle trip across the United States, where an epiphany at a truck stop outside of Seattle led him to reevaluate his lifestyle.
