Zagreb court convicts three for hate-motivated attack on Indian workers

A municipal criminal court in Zagreb has found three individuals guilty of violent, hate-motivated behavior following an attack on six Indian workers in Ribnjak Park. The incident, which occurred two years ago, involved a 19-year-old and two minors who confronted the workers at night, questioning their presence in the country.

The attackers used hands, feet, and belts with metal buckles to assault the victims. During the confrontation, the eldest attacker threatened the group with a knife and physically pursued them as they attempted to flee. The victims sustained head injuries, cuts to their hands, and a kick to the abdomen.

The perpetrators were charged with bringing the foreign workers into a humiliating position out of hatred. The eldest attacker has been ordered to perform 60 hours of community service through humanitarian or ecological work.
