Zagreb driver sentenced after drunk driving accident
A 34-year-old woman has been sentenced by a Zagreb court following a serious traffic accident on Marina Držić Avenue. On Monday around 19:30, the driver lost control of her vehicle while attempting to turn from the middle lane into the left lane, striking a curb and flipping the car onto its roof on the tram tracks.
Police investigations revealed the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, recording a level of 3.01 g/kg. Additionally, authorities discovered she was driving while her license had been revoked due to a failure to complete a required extraordinary medical examination. The driver is noted as a repeat offender of serious traffic violations.
