Zagreb enacts temporary traffic changes for Vukovarske‑Savska intersection works

From 6 July to 31 August, Zagreb will carry out reconstruction of a main water‑supply pipe at the Vukovarske and Savska streets intersection. The €3.8 million project will be accompanied by a €1.2 million upgrade of the tram turning box at the same junction. During the works traffic will be restricted: all left‑turns are prohibited, straight‑through traffic will remain open north‑south and west‑east, and detours are provided for vehicles coming from the west and south.

Tram service on the Vukovarska line will be suspended until 17 August, with line 3 and line 5 operating on altered routes, line 13 out of service, and night line 33 replaced by a bus. An extra night bus (line 616) will run between Vrbik and Držićeva. The city asks drivers to follow temporary signage and to use navigation apps such as Waze and Google Maps for the quickest alternatives.
