Zagreb hosts diverse cultural celebrations and anniversary concerts

Various cultural events have recently taken place in Zagreb, highlighting local arts and minority heritage. The ‘Zagreb Neighborhood Culture’ (Zagrebački kvartovi kulture) project concluded its third cycle in Stenjevci from September 18 to 20. The program featured a diverse array of performances, including concerts by Natali Dizdar and the Zagreb Soloists, film screenings, theater, contemporary circus, and poetry. This year's project involved over 200 artists across eight neighborhoods.

Additionally, the Bosniak Cultural and Artistic Society ‘Sevdah’ celebrated its 20th anniversary with a concert at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. As the first registered Bosniak cultural society in Zagreb, the group focuses on preserving and promoting traditional and contemporary Bosniak cultural heritage through folk programs and dances. During the celebration, Tibor Varga, president of the Council for National Minorities of the Republic of Croatia, noted that the institution currently finances more than 1,300 programs to support the cultural autonomy of national minorities.
