Vučić visits Vojvodina and announces railway opening
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is conducting a visit to northern Vojvodina, including the Subotica area. During the tour, Vučić announced that the Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway is expected to open in September or early October. He also noted that an automotive industry company is expected to sign a contract in mid-September to establish operations in Subotica, potentially employing 200 workers.
In Croatia, Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomašević reported that over 90 percent of planned city infrastructure works are either complete or on schedule for completion before the start of the school year. Key projects include repairs to tram tracks, water mains, and gas pipelines. Additionally, reconstruction work has begun on the Stara Vlaška pedestrian zone, a 3.4 million euro project aimed at creating a park, square, and promenade in the city center. Meanwhile, maintenance updates were provided for the Most Slobode bridge, which has served as a vital link across the Sava river for 67 years.
