Zagreb Stock Exchange climbs as CROBEX posts 13th straight week of gains

The CROBEX index on the Zagreb Stock Exchange rose for the 13th consecutive week, reaching 4,477 points, while the broader CROBEX10 slipped to 2,872 points. Trading turnover increased to €15.6 million, driven by heavy activity in Končar, Adris Group and Dalekovod, whose share price jumped 17.9 % to €18.8, making it the day’s biggest gainer.

Sector performance showed transport stocks up 3.4 %, while industrial stocks fell nearly 1 %. Alpha Adriatica led the most liquid gainers with a 7.3 % rise, whereas Viktor Lenac suffered the largest loss at –5.3 %. International markets were mixed: Wall Street indices rose, European bourses showed modest gains, and Asian markets slipped, affecting technology stocks globally.

Analysts noted that the rally reflects investors capitalising on strong earnings from technology companies and cautious optimism ahead of U.S. labor data, despite concerns over inflation and potential Fed rate hikes.
