Zagreb Stock Exchange slides amid global market pressure
On Friday, the Zagreb Stock Exchange's Crobex index slipped 0.31% to 4,473 points after a prior gain, while the broader Crobex10 held around 2,881 points. Trading volume rose to about €3.2 million, with Končar shares leading liquidity, up 0.3% at €999, followed by Dalekovod (€17.8, down roughly 3%) and Adris‑preferred shares. Other active stocks included Boskar, Ing‑Grad and Alpha Adriatica, which fell 8.7%.
Earlier in the week, the market posted mixed results; the Crobex fell 0.08% to 4,473 after 13 weeks of gains, while the Crobex10 edged up 0.29%. Weekly turnover reached €19.4 million. Notable moves were Tehnika jumping almost 28% to €15.6, CIAK dropping nearly 19% to €9, and Alpha Adriatica gaining 17.3%. Analysts linked the volatility to heightened Middle‑East tensions and rising oil prices, noting similar declines on European exchanges and modest gains on Wall Street.
