Zak Brown prioritizes IndyCar Washington over Dutch GP

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown prioritized attending the IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C., over the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort. Brown stated his decision was based on maximizing commercial impact and supporting the fastest-growing series where he could provide the most value.

While Brown monitored Lando Norris’ pole position in the Netherlands remotely, the IndyCar event saw significant commercial success. The race recorded an average of 3.2 million viewers on FOX, marking the highest viewership for a non-Indy 500 race since 1995. In competition, Arrow McLaren’s Christian Lundgaard finished second, narrowly missing a victory.
