Zakynthos restores water supply after major pipeline failure

DEYA Zakynthos has completed repairs on a major water supply pipeline in the Lithakia area. The restoration process was more complex than initially anticipated, as a second rupture occurred during the night following the initial repair attempt.

Water supply is being gradually restored to the Laganas and Zakynthos municipal units. Water is currently being pumped to the Bochali reservoirs to enable service to Zakynthos town by late afternoon. Water supply to Zakynthos Hospital and fire hydrants has already been resumed.
