Zamanat launches $100M tokenized private credit fund for GCC SMEs
Dubai-based Zamanat has launched the Zamanat Fund CEIC Limited, a tokenized private credit fund with a target size of up to $100 million. The fund is domiciled in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and is registered as a Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) regulated closed-ended Exempt Fund.
The initiative aims to address a significant financing gap for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. While SMEs contribute over half of the UAE's GDP and employ most of the private-sector workforce, they receive less than 10% of total bank lending. Across the broader GCC, only approximately 11% of SMEs have access to credit.
Managed by Truleum Venture Partners Limited with administration by Apex Group, the fund will issue interests as ZM1 Investment Tokens on the ZIGChain blockchain. This structure provides a blockchain-native ownership and settlement layer for professional clients within a regulated framework.
