Zamanat tokenized private credit fund launch

Overview

Dubai-based Zamanat has launched the Zamanat Fund CEIC Limited, a tokenized private credit fund with a target size of up to $100 million. Domiciled in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the fund issues interests as ZM1 Investment Tokens on the ZIGChain blockchain.

The initiative seeks to address a significant financing gap for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, which is estimated at $250 billion. Reports indicate that while SMEs contribute over half of the UAE’s GDP, they receive less than 10% of total bank lending, and only about 11% of SMEs across the broader GCC have access to credit.

By directing capital toward regional companies underserved by traditional financing, the fund aims to support economic initiatives such as Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the UAE Centennial 2071. The fund is managed by Truleum Venture Partners Limited with administration provided by Apex Group.
