Zamfara security forces neutralise bandits and seize explosives in separate operations

Security forces in Nigeria's Zamfara State reported the neutralisation of several suspected bandits in multiple operations. In the Keta community of Tsafe Local Government Area, Civilian Joint Task Force operatives engaged armed men linked to notorious bandit leaders, resulting in the deaths of fighters loyal to commanders identified as Kachalla Juli, Uti and Ibrahim. A separate clash in Tsarika village, Musawa LGA, led to the killing of two gang leaders, Kachalla Liti and Kachalla Sani.

In a distinct police action in Bungudu Local Government Area, the Zamfara State Police Command killed two suspected bandits during a gun battle and recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) on a major road, which was safely detonated by specialist units. A vigilante was injured in the exchange. Both incidents were presented as part of intensified patrol and confidence‑building operations aimed at protecting residents and curbing bandit activity.
