Zamora hosts international folklore festival and launches new childhood plan
The province of Zamora is hosting several significant cultural and social initiatives. The municipality has launched a new Local Childhood Plan designed for children and adolescents up to 18 years old. This program, which helps renew the city's UNICEF seal, focuses on digital literacy, privacy, and online identity management through workshops such as ‘Mi huella digital’ and ‘De verdad me conoces’. The plan also includes environmental activities and civil protection drills, organized in collaboration with organizations like the Red Cross and the Eusebio Sacristán Foundation.
Simultaneously, the 22nd edition of the International Folklore Festival of Zamora (FIFZamora) is taking place from September 2 to 6. Organized by the Asociación Cultural Don Sancho, the festival features approximately 150 artists from five countries across four continents. The event includes parades, workshops, and folk galas held in Benavente, Toro, and Zamora, aiming to promote cultural exchange and coexistence through traditional music and dance.
