Cultural and social initiatives in Zamora
Overview
The province of Zamora is implementing various cultural and social initiatives. In the Olivares neighborhood, residents completed a community art project titled ‘Hola’, a large ceramic mosaic on Mediodía Street. Created by Víctor Hernández and Clara Martín, the mural uses over 5,000 pieces to reinterpret traditional Castilian embroidery.
Expanding on these local efforts, the municipality has launched a Local Childhood Plan for residents up to 18 years old. This program focuses on digital literacy, privacy, and environmental activities in collaboration with organizations such as the Red Cross. Additionally, the 22nd International Folklore Festival of Zamora (FIFZamora) is underway, featuring approximately 150 artists from five countries to promote cultural exchange through music and dance.
