Zamora neighborhood unveils community ceramic mosaic

The Olivares neighborhood in Zamora has completed a community art project titled ‘Hola’, featuring a large ceramic mosaic installed on Mediodía Street. The work consists of more than 5,000 ceramic pieces created during summer workshops promoted by the Zamora City Council.

Designed by creator Víctor Hernández and professional ceramist Clara Martín, the mural reinterprets the colors and shapes of traditional Castilian embroidery through a contemporary ceramic lens. More than 50 residents participated in modeling and glazing the fragments, making the piece a work of shared authorship.

The project aims to foster community identity and social interaction. An official inauguration is scheduled for Sunday at 12:00 during local festivities, followed by guided tours of the various ceramic interventions located throughout the area.
