Zandvoort circuit to host final Dutch Grand Prix in August 2024

The Zandvoort circuit will stage its last Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix on 23 August 2024, marking the end of the six‑year contract that returned the race to the Netherlands in 2021. Prince Bernhard of Orange‑Nassau, who helped bring the event back, announced the sale of his share in the circuit to partners Menno de Jong and Coen Groeneveld, stating that the mission of reviving Dutch F1 has been completed.

Jan Lammers, the sporting director of the Grand Prix, praised the six editions as a success and thanked four‑time world champion Max Verstappen, whose victories were a key factor in the event’s popularity. The 2024 race will also feature a sprint weekend for the first time. Verstappen reflected on his memorable moments at Zandvoort without dramatizing the farewell.
