Russia admits economic damage from Ukrainian drone strikes FAST-MOVING

Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged that Ukrainian drone strikes against industrial infrastructure and refineries are causing economic damage to Russia. While describing the overall economic trend as positive, Putin noted that these attacks impact the rhythm of economic activity.

Following the destruction of several refineries, Russia has begun importing fuel to stabilize the domestic market. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that the government is taking steps to allow the production of lower-grade fuels (Euro 2, 3, and 4 standards) to meet demand. Additionally, a temporary ban on fuel exports remains in place until late January 2027 to prevent market instability.

In a separate incident in Ukraine, a Russian drone attack struck the city of Zaporizhzhia. Regional military administration head Ivan Fedorov reported that the strike killed one person and injured six others. The attack damaged residential buildings and electricity distribution infrastructure, causing fires in several locations.
