Zaragoza minor detained three times in 25 days for robberies
An unaccompanied Algerian minor residing at the CATIM youth center in Zaragoza has been detained three times in 25 days for allegedly robbing elderly women. The incidents, reported by the Government of Aragon, involved the theft of gold chains through various means of violence.
In the most recent incident on August 9, the minor allegedly pushed an elderly woman to steal her jewelry before fleeing to the CATIM center, where he reportedly resisted police arrest. During previous incidents on July 16 and July 19, the suspect allegedly used pepper spray and physical force to target elderly victims. Law enforcement also reported finding narcotics, including hashish and pills, during these interventions. The minor, born in November 2008, is expected to reach legal adulthood in less than three months.
