Zbigniew Ziobro extradition request delivered to USA

The Polish National Prosecutor's Office has officially delivered a request for the arrest and extradition of former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro to the United States authorities.

While the prosecution initially announced on July 27 that the request had been transmitted via diplomatic channels through Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek, reports indicate a significant delay. The document was not received by the U.S. Department of State until Tuesday, August 25, approximately one month after the initial announcement.

Minister Waldemar Żurek addressed the delay, stating that the request underwent linguistic analysis to ensure correct translation and formulation before being sent. He noted that such documents must pass through Polish diplomacy and that the process was planned and followed standard procedures.
