Zeekr and Škoda unveil new electric SUV models
Chinese brand Zeekr, part of Geely, opened pre‑orders for a five‑seat version of its flagship 9X luxury SUV. The new layout replaces the previous 2+2+2 seating with a 2+3 arrangement, keeping the same dimensions (5,239 mm long, 2,029 mm wide, 1,819 mm high) and adding a 43‑sensor driver‑assist package that includes roof‑mounted lidar. Interior features a digital instrument cluster, dual 16‑inch screens, a 47‑inch AR projector, and premium Naim audio. Production‑ready sales are scheduled to begin in July 2026.
Czech‑based Škoda introduced its Peaq electric‑SUV range, comprising the Peaq 60, Peaq 90 and Peaq 90x models. The 60 uses a 59 kWh battery with 204 hp, while the 90 and 90x use an 86 kWh pack delivering up to 640 km of range and 286–299 hp. The 90x adds a front motor for all‑wheel drive. Prices are expected around €50,000, with first deliveries planned for late October or early November. Notable features include an electro‑chromic panoramic roof, a 13.6‑inch central screen, and bidirectional charging capabilities (V2L, V2H, V2G).
