Zeekr unveils upgraded X EV with slight price hike and offers Australian customers ice‑driving experience in NZ

Zeekr announced that the updated X electric SUV will be priced at $59,990 for the rear‑wheel‑drive version and $69,990 for the all‑wheel‑drive model, a $90 increase over the previous range. Both variants retain a 61 kWh battery delivering over 400 km (WLTP) and feature upgraded power – 250 kW for the RWD and 365 kW for the AWD – with 0‑100 km/h times of 5.6 seconds and 3.7 seconds respectively. New interior upgrades include heated seats in all rows, inductive steering‑wheel controls, a 13‑speaker Yamaha sound system, and, on the AWD, massaging front seats and an onboard fridge.

Separately, Zeekr is running an exclusive "Zeekr On Ice" event at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds in Queenstown, New Zealand. Australian participants can test‑drive the current X, 7X and 7GT models, as well as the unreleased 8X and 9X, during a full‑day ice‑driving program that includes slalom, power‑slide and gymkhana courses. The two‑night package costs NZ$5,500 and includes accommodation at Millbrook Resort, premium meals, concierge transfers and a helicopter flight over the Southern Alps. Spectator tickets start at NZ$1,500.
