Zefyri: 29-year-old arrested with over 7.5 kg of heroin

Police in Zefyri, Attica, arrested a 29-year-old Greek national on Saturday, October 10, following an investigation into large-scale drug trafficking. The operation, conducted by the Organized Crime Unit with assistance from the Intelligence and Special Operations Sub-directorates, targeted the suspect's residence.

Authorities seized approximately 7.538 kilograms of heroin distributed in 21 nylon packages, along with 186 grams of cocaine in 11 packages. Additionally, officers confiscated 6.6 kilograms of a grey rocky substance used for adulterating heroin, two precision electronic scales, two security cameras, a mobile phone, and 1,200 euros in cash.

The estimated financial profit from the trafficking of these substances is expected to exceed 150,000 euros. The suspect faces charges of purchasing, possessing, and distributing large quantities of narcotics and has been taken to the competent prosecutor's office.
