Zelensky says Putin fears for his life and peace may come if he abandons Moscow
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Financial Times, citing excerpts on his social media, that Russian President Vladimir Putin “fears for his life.” He said that when drone attacks on Moscow increase from a few hundred to a thousand, Putin may be urged to move beyond the Urals, a moment that would “open a new chapter toward the end of the war” and bring “peace closer” as he distances himself from the capital.
Zelensky added that the war is shifting to the skies: the front line is static, maritime advances are blocked, and Ukraine is focusing on aerial operations, including a recent Crimea mission targeting Russian energy facilities and port infrastructure. He noted that Russian businesses are beginning to realise they “won’t win the war” and are “losing time and money.”
