Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted new proposals to the United States aimed at ending the war with Russia. Zelenskyy requested that the U.S. assist in strengthening Ukraine's air defenses and exert pressure on Moscow to prepare for a peace settlement rather than a continuation of the conflict.

Zelenskyy also warned that Ukrainian intelligence has evidence suggesting Russia will use its upcoming parliamentary elections as a pretext to announce a new large-scale military mobilization. He indicated that Russia may attempt to mobilize several hundred thousand additional troops by the end of this year and into next year, following the elections.

In a separate development, Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian forces successfully struck a Russian oil refinery in Tobolsk, Siberia, located more than 2,500 kilometers away. He stated that such long-range precision strikes would continue to demonstrate the necessity of peace to the Russian leadership and its citizens.
