Zelenskyy warns of Russian plans to expand war beyond Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that intelligence indicates Vladimir Putin plans to expand the war into other countries. This follows reports from Danish intelligence regarding a “low, but growing risk” that Russia may conduct limited military incursions into NATO member states or strike infrastructure supporting Ukraine.

On the battlefield, Ukraine continues to target Russian industrial and energy sites. Recent Ukrainian drone strikes hit an oil refinery in Perm and a semiconductor-producing facility, Zavod Iskra, in the Almaz-Antei group. Conversely, Russian drone attacks on Kyiv resulted in seven deaths and 25 injuries.

In terms of defense, Zelenskyy confirmed an agreement for a new delivery of Patriot air defense missiles, though the provider was not named. Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte noted that the increase in hybrid incidents across NATO territory suggests Putin is in a difficult position due to the ongoing conflict.
