Zeljko Kopic departs Dinamo Bucharest and eyes new coaching role

Croatian coach Zeljko Kopic left Dinamo Bucharest after two and a half seasons, during which he paid a Croatian PR firm €5,000‑monthly for rapid updates on the club. Although his contract remained, he and the club mutually agreed to part ways. Dinamo quickly appointed Nuno Campos as his successor.

Kopic, who said “N‑am oferte” (I have no offers), is being considered by Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta, which listed him alongside Belgian coach Karel Geraerts for the vacant position. He previously coached in Cyprus and has expressed interest in returning to the island. In the meantime, Kopic will serve as an analyst for Croatia during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
