The Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Assembly has adopted its second budget rebalance for 2026, setting the total amount at 777,688,281 KM. According to Finance Minister Dženana Čišija, the rebalanced budget includes planned revenues of 777,688,281 KM and expenditures of 772,071,223 KM, resulting in a projected surplus of 5,617,058 KM. The decision was reached with 22 votes in favor, six against, and three abstentions.

In addition to the budget, the Assembly passed amendments to the ZDK Higher Education Law. This move aims to align the cantonal legislation with a ruling from the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the Framework Law on Higher Education.

Furthermore, the Assembly approved the Science and Research Activity Development Strategy for the period 2024–2034, receiving 28 votes in favor. The session also addressed the implementation of the budget execution law for 2026.
