Zenica-Doboj Canton begins testing for 105 new police officers

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton has commenced physical and motor skill testing for candidates seeking to join the regional police force. The testing is taking place at the Kamberovića polje athletic stadium in Zenica.

Out of approximately 700 applicants, 517 candidates successfully passed the initial morphological status assessments and have moved on to this stage. The recruitment drive aims to hire 105 new officers, with 100 positions for the rank of police officer and five for junior inspector.

Police Commissioner Admir Gazić noted that the department currently faces a shortage of more than 450 officers. Minister of Internal Affairs Emir Vračo stated that the government has invested nearly 30 million KM into the police force over the last three years to improve equipment and staffing. To ensure transparency and prevent human bias, the entire testing process is being audio and video documented.
