Zero Motorcycles sets Guinness World Record for electric motorcycle range
Zero Motorcycles has achieved a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance traveled by an electric motorcycle on a single charge. A production Zero DS model covered 436.5 kilometers, surpassing the previous record of 310.689 kilometers by 125.8 kilometers.
The record-breaking journey, announced in Amsterdam, began in the Alps near the French-Italian border and concluded on the Mediterranean coast. The route included mountain passes, winding roads, and urban areas, with the distance verified via GPS and independently by Guinness World Records.
Driver Jelle Verstaen operated the motorcycle using its original factory configuration, including standard tires and pressures. The bike was equipped only with the optional Power Tank accessory, which increases the total battery capacity from 15.6 kWh to 19.2 kWh. No additional batteries or mechanical modifications were used during the attempt.
