Zero Motorcycles sets new electric motorcycle range record

Zero Motorcycles has set a new Guinness World Record by traveling 436.5 kilometers on a single charge using a production electric motorcycle. This achievement surpasses the previous record by 125.8 kilometers, representing an improvement of over 40%.

The record was set using a production Zero DS equipped with an optional Power Tank accessory, which increases the total battery capacity from 15.6 kWh to 19.2 kWh. The journey, led by rider Jelle Verstaen, spanned from the Alps near the French-Italian border to the Mediterranean coast.

To maximize efficiency, the riders maintained a steady pace of approximately 52 km/h and utilized regenerative braking during descents through mountain passes. The final 100 kilometers of the trip were completed under heavy rain conditions. The entire route was tracked via GPS and verified by Guinness World Records.
