Yeni Parti and Saadet Partisi leaders outline political strategies
Yeni Parti leader Özgür Özel has conducted a series of visits across the Trakya region, including Edirne, Tekirdağ, and Kırklareli. During these appearances, Özel emphasized his party's commitment to providing a “livelihood guarantee” for all citizens. He criticized the current administration's economic policies, specifically regarding agricultural pricing and the financial struggles of retirees. He also proposed nationalizing privatized highways and bridges if his party takes power.
Simultaneously, Saadet Partisi leader Mahmut Arıkan held a consultation camp in Nevşehir. Arıkan addressed the necessity of political alliances, stating that while the party will not avoid alliances, it will not become a “satellite of any political center.” He predicted that the next general elections will take place within the year 2027.
Internal dynamics within Yeni Parti are also being monitored, as Özel works to establish a distinct political identity separate from the CHP, despite the party's current membership consisting entirely of former CHP officials.
