Zielona Góra festival sparks controversy after YouTuber's visit

Food YouTuber Szymon Nyczke, known as Książulo, has sparked controversy following his visit to the Winobranie festival in Zielona Góra. During his visit, Nyczke criticized the high prices and poor quality of the food, noting that he paid 160 PLN for a meal consisting of sausage, a skewer, pork neck, a roll, and a pickled cucumber. He expressed dissatisfaction with the service and the quality of the meat.

Beyond food quality, the visit highlighted potential tax irregularities. Nyczke reported that the vendor lacked a cash register and failed to provide a receipt, eventually abandoning the purchase after difficulties arose with an attempt to issue an invoice. Agata Jagodzińska, a representative for the National Revenue Administration (KAS), commented on the incident, stating that such practices are common at outdoor events and characterizing the failure to issue receipts as ‘stealing from you and the state.’

Local officials have responded to the backlash. Łukasz Porycki, a member of the Lubuskie Voivodeship Board, suggested expanding the regional product zone to prevent similar negative coverage in the future. Meanwhile, local councilor Rafał Kasza criticized the recurring high prices at the festival, noting that the same catering points appear annually and that such pricing should not become an accepted standard.
