Zielona Góra hosts annual Winobranie wine festival

The city of Zielona Góra is hosting its major annual wine harvest festival, known as Winobranie, featuring a diverse program of cultural, musical, and viticultural events.

On Saturday, the festivities begin with the symbolic handover of the city keys to Bachus at Plac Powstańców Wielkopolskich. The evening includes the XVII National Wine Competition, where the Grand Prix for the best wines will be awarded, followed by a concert by the Zielona Góra Philharmonic Orchestra. For those interested in modern music, DJ performances will take place at the Winne Wzgórze club scene.

Sunday's program includes a pop concert by Margaret and various community activities, such as wine bus tours to local vineyards, river cruises on the Oder and Obrzyca, and an international men's basketball tournament. Other scheduled events include guided tours of wine monuments, wine cellar openings, workshops, and theatrical performances by the Lubuski Teatr.
