Zielona Góra Winobranie festival food review sparks tax compliance debate

Content creator Książulo has drawn attention following a critical review of the food offerings at the Winobranie festival in Zielona Góra. In his video, the YouTuber evaluated various food stalls, focusing on food quality, portion sizes, service, and pricing. He expressed significant dissatisfaction, describing the experience as having “hopeless service and food from a trash can.”

During one encounter, the creator reported paying 160 PLN for a meal consisting of sausage, a skewer, pork neck, a roll, and a pickled cucumber. The situation escalated when it was discovered that the vendor lacked a cash register, leading the creator to decline an invoice offer and leave.

Agata Jagodzińska, a trade union activist representing the National Revenue Administration (KAS), commented on the incident via X. She noted that such practices are common at outdoor events and emphasized that failing to provide receipts is a form of theft from both consumers and the state. She highlighted that VAT is paid by the buyer and must be remitted to the tax office by the seller.
