Zinédine Zidane finalizes France national team coaching staff

Zinédine Zidane has finalized the composition of his coaching staff for the France national football team. The French Football Federation confirmed a structure that is more extensive than the previous regime under Didier Deschamps.

A key appointment is Fabien Barthez, who will oversee the goalkeepers. The decision reunites the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 winning teammates. While Barthez brings high-level experience and has previously advised keepers at clubs like Toulouse, his appointment has sparked discussion because he has not yet obtained the formal technical diplomas required for the role, necessitating a specialized pathway for former professionals.

The expanded staff also includes David Bettoni, a long-time assistant to Zidane from his time at Real Madrid, and Grégory Dupont, who will handle physical preparation and strategic advisory. The technical team is further supported by Hamidou Msaidie, Farid Tabet, and Clément Ybert, who will focus on advanced video analysis.
