During the commemoration of the 215th Anniversary of the Suprema Junta Nacional Americana in Zitácuaro, Michoacán, Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla and members of the State Congress presented the 'Suprema Junta Nacional Americana 2026' award to the Mazahua indigenous communities.

Amancio Sánchez Durán, president of the Francisco Serrato Self-Government Council, accepted the decoration on behalf of the Mazahua communities. The recognition highlights their historical struggle for rights, equality, and the preservation of their traditions and autonomy.
