Zlín to activate new speed cameras on September 1
New speed cameras are set to begin active enforcement in Zlín on September 1, coinciding with the start of the school year. The new measures will target Štefánikova Street, a high-traffic area where police measurements have recorded vehicles traveling at speeds up to 80 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
In addition to Štefánikova Street, section speed measurement will also begin on Mladcová Street on the same day. The municipal police have indicated plans to expand radar monitoring to Štípa and Klečůvce in October. Statistics show a significant increase in speeding violations and associated fines in Zlín, with 27,538 cases recorded in 2025.
