Zoe Konstantopoulou challenges Prime Minister on debt and Siemens case

Zoe Konstantopoulou, leader of the Plevsi Eleftherias party, has submitted urgent questions to the Greek Prime Minister regarding economic management, public debt, and several legal and social issues.

On economic matters, Konstantopoulou criticized the government's portrayal of economic prosperity, arguing it contradicts the reality of high living costs and eroded purchasing power. She highlighted the government's decision to prioritize the early repayment of public debt, estimating that approximately 49 billion euros have been allocated or planned for this purpose over the last seven years. She contrasted this with the lack of funding for public health, education, and justice, suggesting that funds could have been used to restore the 13th and 14th month salaries for public employees.

Additionally, Konstantopoulou demanded clarity on the Siemens case following a German court decision regarding a lawsuit by OTE. She also raised concerns regarding civil protection, the balance between renewable energy development and environmental protection, and issues of gender-based violence and child abuse.
