Zondacrypto collapse: Committee member faces charges as CEO ties emerge

New developments have emerged regarding the collapse of the Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange. Creditors have selected a three-person committee to work with an Estonian trustee to recover funds and assets for clients. One committee member, attorney Robert Nogacki, has been identified as a suspect in two separate criminal proceedings since 2021. These investigations involve the AdBlast financial pyramid, which allegedly caused losses of at least $32 million for 90,000 people, as well as a scheme involving the sale of academic papers and money laundering.

Additionally, investigations into former Zondacrypto CEO Przemysław Kral have revealed links to Volodymyr Bogatyr, a Ukrainian lawyer with ties to Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs. Bogatyr, a former Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Justice, operated a firm that handled extradition cases, asset searches, and the removal of individuals from Interpol lists. Records indicate that Kral assisted Bogatyr in registering as a foreign lawyer in Poland in 2015. Kral is currently cooperating with Polish law enforcement as the investigation into Zondacrypto continues.
