Overview

The investigation into Radosław Piesiewicz and the collapsed ZondaCrypto exchange has intensified with new allegations of bribery and institutional corruption. Piesiewicz, President of the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl), is facing charges of providing paid protection to ZondaCrypto CEO Przemysław Kral. Four-time Olympic gold medalist Robert Korzeniowski has criticized Piesiewicz’s leadership, alleging a shift toward “clan-like behavior” and attempts to amend PKOl statutes to eliminate oversight mechanisms, such as the arbitration tribunal.

Political scrutiny remains high following Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s testimony regarding a potential 2 million PLN bribe promised to former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro. While Ziobro denies the allegations, he confirmed his foundation received 450,000 PLN from Kral’s law firm. Additionally, Lublin Voivodeship Marshal Jarosław Stawiarski has appeared before prosecutors as a witness, stating he is among thousands of victims defrauded by Kral.

Other legal actions include the arrest of Roman Ż., a business partner of founder Sylwester Suszek, on suspicion of leading an organized criminal group involved in money laundering. Authorities have also detained stock investor Rafał Zaorski and several others as the probe expands into organized crime and the disappearance of Suszek.
