Zonguldak Tunnel Crash Leaves 19-Year-Old Driver Seriously Injured

A vehicle lost steering control at the exit of the Teoman Duralı Tunnel in Karaelmas, Zonguldak, rolled over the median and collided with two parked cars. The 19‑year‑old driver, identified as S.S., suffered severe injuries and was treated on site before being transported by ambulance to hospital in critical condition.

Emergency services—including health, police, AFAD and fire crews—were dispatched promptly. Traffic was temporarily restricted to a single lane while the wrecked car was removed by a tow truck and the roadway cleared. Police have opened an investigation into the cause of the loss of control.
